Yeah, I had done pretty good since the blitz of 2024 when I added 24 collections, some of which came from the Friends of the Lane Library annaul sale in May. Well, it's 2025 and there was another sale and the Mrs. and I went again. We had talked about not going this year, but it was a Saturday, I was in a bit of a weird mood, it was raining (iirc), and I asked if she wanted to go. So go we did. When I walked in I saw that everything was half off which meant DVDs were $1 which was cool (more on that in a second). So I perused the books and then headed to the DVD section. At first I didn't see much, but then I spotted a 4 Film Favorites collection spine. I picked it up and it was a four pack of John Wayne war movies. I knew I had the majority of his western material, but didn't think I had any of these. I consulted my movie collection blog and, at least what I have on the site which is about 50% of it I think, I didn't have any of them. And the floodgates opened and I started seeing all kinds of stuff. 12 more collections later it was time to check out. It was then I realized that the 1/2 off sale didn't start until 3pm. It was 2pm. Oh well, our purchases were for a good cause. Books and movies and literature and knowledge and all that stuff. The Mrs. had quite a few books and then picked up 3 book bags to 1) carry the stuff in and 2) because whe didn't have those colors yet. Women, whatcha gonna do. :P
It took me a little while to get them cataloged and photographed and put onto the blog, but I finally got it all done.
In this round, I added the following collections: John Wayne Collection, 20 Movie Western Pack, Lash La Rue Vol. 1 and 2, Fully Loaded Sniper Collection, Fox Western Classics (incl. Rawhide), Complete James Dean Collection, Kurt Russell Collection, 20th Cent. Fox Studio Classics (incl. Desk Set), Morgan Freeman 4 pack, The Shadows Collection, Silent Greats, and Dragnet 25 episode collection.
